Poor Richard’s Restaurant has provided downtown Colorado Springs with a funky local vibe for over 35 years. The hand-tossed pizza, great homemade soups, and signature house salad dressing have won Poor Richard's Restaurant the distinction of "Best Of" in Colorado Springs across several categories year after year.
Poor Richard’s famous 18-inch pizzas start with great crust, of course! Poor Richard's offers freshly made dough in either white or wheat, which is baked in a brick oven until it is both crispy and chewy. Topped with freshly simmered tomato sauce, made in-house with vine-ripened Campari tomatoes and fresh herbs & spices, Poor Richard's pies are the perfect canvas for any combination of their 28 delicious toppings, and they are one of the only places in town that also sells their pizza by the slice.
Sandwiches are served on fresh, locally-baked breads and the Signature House Salad is by far the most popular menu item. Poor Richard’s soups are made-from-scratch using house-made vegetable stock, so they always have a rich, fresh vegetable flavor.
The menu also features wholesome options for many diets. Poor Richard's offers several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items including vegan pizza (made with Daiya Vegan cheese) and gluten-free pizza (made with gluten-free pizza crusts from Outside the Breadbox).
